Once in a Blue Moon an opportunity comes along that you simply cannot ignore…
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Jennifer Scullion has joined the Blue Moon team as our new Senior Client Manager. Jenn has a wealth of experience in marketing, PR and communications as well as unrivalled industry knowledge in some of our largest client sectors – the Built Environment, making her the perfect fit to drive our growth strategy forward. In this blog, we get to know Jenn a little bit more…
Why did you want to join Blue Moon?
After recently being made redundant, I found myself in the unique position of having a chance to really take a step back and think about what I wanted to do and where my next career move should be.
My introductory conversation with Anne was one I just couldn’t forget about. Having worked in-house all my career, I never thought I could, or would work for an agency – but listening to Anne set out her vision for the business she wants to build made me think otherwise.
The variety, the creativity and hearing more about the diverse nature of the people she works with is what lured me in. I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass by – and here I am!
What are you most excited about for this year?
Work! I’ve never had so many ideas and so much energy and drive for my work. This may be down to my recent experience of being made redundant and seeing how quickly things can change, or the fact I spent most of 2022 on maternity leave with a baby and a cocker spaniel to project manage! I’m ready to get stuck in, get ‘doing’ and be part of some fantastic projects that deliver real results.
What do you do in your spare time?
I’m not sure the time I spend away from work can be classed as spare time anymore! My little boy Elliott turned one in September and my gorgeous cocker spaniel Reggie is two, so time is spent mainly outdoors on the lovely North East coast or a muddy woodland somewhere.
It’s been a massive adjustment to say the least, but I’m just about getting to grips with juggling this new work/life balance – and still find time for a beer or gin and tonic or two!
What are three random facts about me?
- I don’t drink tea or coffee – sorry if that makes me weird, I just can’t get on board!
- I think I’m the only person that still watches and unashamedly loves Coronation Street.
- The biggest S Club 7 fan you’ll ever meet
